“Engagement Global gGmbH - Service for Development Initiatives” is the point of contact in Germany for development policy engagement, both nationwide and internationally. Engagement Global informs about current projects and initiatives in Germany and worldwide, advises individuals and groups on development projects and also offers financial support.
The African-German Youth Office (AGYO) brings youth groups from Germany and African countries together. The Teams up! programme creates a platform for shared learning and action. As they engage with their neighbouring continent and the people who live there, the young people gather experience, discover new perspectives and forge contacts – all of which gives them a stronger basis from which to get actively involved in sustainable development.
In close cooperation with the international community, the German Federal Government is committed to combating poverty, to peace, freedom, democracy and human rights, to making globalisation fair and to preserving the environment and natural resources. Among the most important instruments for achieving these goals are development cooperation and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, for which the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is responsible in Germany.
Founded in 2002, Tanzania Youth Coalition (TYC) is a non-government organization focused on making the voices of the youth heard in all policy platforms. TYC mostly works with individuals aged 15 to 35 years old and aims to sensitise them to the issue of sustainable development. It facilitates the dissemination, exchange and transfer of information, policy analysis, lobbying and advocacy to achieve its mission.
The Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (WESSA) is a South African environmental organisation that has been active in the field of nature conservation for over 90 years. In the field of youth work, it is primarily active in the areas of education and skills development and aims to strengthen the youth sector in South Africa through international cooperation.
